On Thursday, 27 October 2011, on the occasion of the day of reflection, dialogue, and prayer for peace and for justice in the world "Pilgrims of truth, pilgrims of peace", called to Assisi by pope Benedict XVI, br Enzo, who was invited to the event by the Pontifical Council for promoting Christian unity, and the brothers present in San Masseo received a vey special visit.

From 13 to 15 October mother Cristiana Piccardo paid us a visit, accompanied by sr Fabiola of Vitorchiano and sr Sonia of Humocaro. For twenty-four years, until 1988, she was abbess of the Trappist monastery of Vitorchiano, then abbess of the monastery of Our Lady of Coromoto in Humocaro at the foot of the Andes, a very poor region of Venezuela.

The archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and pope Benedict XVI

The International Anglican has announced that the first meeting of the third phase of dialogue (dubbed ARCIC III) will be held at our monastery of Bose on 17–27 May 2011. This initiative reflects the wish expressed by pope Benedict XVI and by the archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, on the occasion of their meeting in Rome in November 2009.

In November 2010, at the invitation of the president, cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, brother Enzo gave a talk on “Mystagogical communication” at the plenary assembly of the Pontifical Council for Culture. On this occasion he was received in audience by pope Benedict XVI.

On April 24 Brother Enzo has been warmly welcomed by His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Christodulos at the Orthodox Archbishop's palace in Athens. This was their second meeting in the last months, the first being on December 13, 2006 in Rome at the occasion of the visit of Christodulos to Pope Benedict XVI, the first visit by an Archbishop of Athens to a Pope in the history.
