Scout groups have been coming to Bose since the earliest years of the Community, and they have always been welcomed as friends. Over the years, these friendships have grown and deepened as we have searched together for the important things in life. We now have an area of the community reserved especially for scouts, at the edge of the woods near the monastery. There are grassy meadows for tents, and a roofed-over shelter with toilets, showers, sinks and tables where each group can cook, eat and wash up on rainy days.
This new area gives groups a place of their own to stay, and also makes it easy for them to take part in the monastery’s daily prayer and work, and to meet the brothers and sisters.
The fields and woods around the scout shelter are an ideal setting for games and activities, and around the monastery there are many nature trails for hiking. A little bit farther from the community, there are several parks, and the Alps for longer excursions and camping.

It is possible to reach Bose by foot or by bicycle from the nearest railway stations.

We host groups year round - Christmas and Easter camps, workshops, training camps, desert and service days, and more. For those groups that participate in the workday of the community, or that prepare their own meals, the stay at Bose is free of charge.

We hope to see you soon!
the brothers and sisters of Bose
