Fotios Ioannidis, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Fotios Ioannidis is professor in the Faculty of Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied theology in Thessaloniki and as a fellow of the Comité Catholique pour la Collaboration Culturelle he did postgraduate studies in Italy, where he majored in patrology and church history. His scholarly work deals mainly with Latin Christian literature and the relations between Eastern and Western spirituality. He teaches ecclesiastical literature with emphasis on the Latins fathers. He is a member of the Society for Ecumenical Studies, the International Patristic Society, the Societas Sancti Nicolai and the Società Internazionale per lo Studio del Medioevo Latino. He is a full member of the Academy of St. Ambrose of Milan at the Ambrosian Library. Since 2011 he is associate chair of the Faculty of Theology and has participated at many international conferences in Greece and abroad.
