At the end of July we hosted a work session of the Work session of the Episcopal commission on the liturgy of the Conference of Italian Bishops charged with the Italian translation of the new edition of the Roman Missal. Present, together with several experts (among whom our brother Goffredo), were five bishops from Italian dioceses: Felice Di Molfetta of Cerignola-Ascoli Satriano (president), Francesco Pio Tamburrino of Foggia-Bovino, Bernardo D’Onorio of Gaeta, Francesco Marinelli of Urbino-Urbania-Sant’Angelo in Vado, Mario Meini of Pitigliano-Orbetello-Solana. On its agenda the work session had the revision of amendments presented by Italian bishops for the second edition of the Funeral Rite.

We take the opportunity to express our gratitude and to assure remembrance in our prayers also to the other Italian and foreign bishops who have visited us in these months, thus allowing us to revive ties of communion with their local Churches: Renato Boccardo, newly elected bishop of Spoleto, Antonio Buoncristiani, bishop of Siena, Adriano Caprioli, bishop of Reggio Emilia, Tommaso Valentinetti, bishop of Pescara-Penne, Giuseppe Versaldi, bishop of Alessandria, Claudio Gugerotti, apostolic nuncio in Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, Louis Pelâtre, apostolic vicar in Istanbul, Paolo Magnani, retired bishop of Treviso, and Fülöp, bishop of theG reek-Catholic eparchy of Hajdúdorog in Hungary.

We also wish to express our gratitude  to our bishop Gabriele Mana, to his predecessor
Massimo Giustetti, and to Arrigo Miglio, bishop of Ivrea, who in several occasion show their paternal affection towards our community.
