A sign offered by simple lay people
"Do not be afraid, little flock..."
At Bose on May 18 and 19, 1997, during the extraordinary and unhoped-for visit of his Holiness Bartholomeos I, Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch, Enzo Bianchi, founder and prior of Bose, often repeated to his brothers and sisters the words of the Lord, “Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, because your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). Why did he repeat these words, in their original context unquestionably words of consolation, in a moment of great joy?
Hospitality
Brother, sister, when you welcome guests, be aware that it is God who is coming to you as a pilgrim. You will welcome every guest as you would welcome Christ. You will treat all guests who come to the community with honor, simplicity, and refinement, and you will try to believe that Christ is present in them. (Rule of Bose 38; 40)

The community in brief
In the footsteps of tradition
Brother, sister, you have been called to follow Christ in community life and in celibacy. In answering this call, you are not undertaking a new way of living the Gospel. You should be aware of this and know that you are not alone on this road traveled by many Christians over the centuries. Before you, others with the same vocation, expressed in different ways according to the times and places in which they lived, have made this journey: Elijah and John the Baptist, Pachomius and Mary, Basil and Macrina, Benedict and Scholastica, Francis and Claire, and many others. As you can see, you are not alone, but surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.
The fraternities
From April 2013 we are present in Tuscany with a fraternity of brothers in the diocese of Volterra by the church of Cellole, near San Gimigniano.
